PALM FIBER BRIQUETTES
Palm Fiber Briquette (PFB) is made from inedible palm cellulosic wastes that does not divert food away from human food chain. In other words, it is a natural by-product of palm oil extraction process.
PFB is a blend of palm cellulosic wastes including palm mesocarp fiber, empty fruit bunch and palm kernel shell.
It is an ideal alternative biofuel for industrial boilers that support process heating, electricity generation and hot water heating. By switching from coal, diesel, natural gas or electric boilers to biomass boiler, you will be able to reduce carbon footprint of your organization as well as the boiler energy cost.
The abundant supply of palm biomass assures reliable biofuel supply. In addition, we will set up a storage facility nearby to ensure uninterrupted and just-in-time delivery to your facility. We are committed to make the switch to renewable biofuel a technically and economically viable option for you.
The manufacturing process of PFB starts from shredding and drying of palm biomass to bring down its moisture content from 60% to 15-20%. The feedstock is then blended and densified into high density briquettes with uniform physical geometry. By reducing moisture content, increasing density and forming into uniform geometry, the biofuel will have a higher net calorific value for better efficiency in combustion and transportation.
Our standard PFB product comes in a square rod of 30 x 30 mm with maximum length of 120mm. The net calorific value or Lower Heating Value (LHV) is 15'500 MJ/kg or 3'700 kCal/kg, in the similar range as wood pellets.
